While reading "Misinformation fatigue sets in" by Brandy Zadrozny on Niemlab, I realized how exhausting the "fake news" trend was in 2020. Conservatives claiming stories to be fake news when the information they were receiving was not what they wanted to hear. Was it that it was really fake or just said in a way we didn't like? We really don't know because we hear from two different point of views, republicans and democrats. "Misinformation isn’t going away, but it seems inevitable that people will stop caring. Much like compassion fatigue, a traumatic burnout experienced by caregivers, I expect people to be exhausted by a year of unbridled misinformation". People at some point won't even need to pay attention to the media because of the exhaustion of "fake news".
