The first paper I viewed from "Today's Front Pages" was "The Anniston Star", a home owned newspaper. The paper utilizes different colors all over to capture the eye of the reader. The fonts vary all over, some being big and some smaller ones. The larger ones put emphasis on, or capture, the central idea of the newspaper. The accompanying visuals not only, provide context through visibility, but they gather the attention of the viewer. The layout is also quite organized with the way the words are structured on the paper. In comparison, "Fair-Banks, Daily News-Miner", utilizes one central image in the center to immediately grasp the attention of the viewer. A caption is also provided for context. The way the words are structured in this is quite different as it surrounds the image, but it still appears in an organized manner. The bolded headlines and words also show significance of the sections, and what is to be read about. Both papers use images to contextualize the story and arrange the words in a way that is not only visually pleasing, but effective in presenting the information.
