With the hard times we’re already having dealing with Covid, these people are getting It even worse. After investing into a community to live in to later find out it is not legally permitted to house people, the people are stripped of their utilities over the dispute of evictions. They have had to use generators and river water to live their daily lives, but now that the worse has happened, enough is enough. After getting a whiff of smoke, one lady came out of her house to find that her neighbors house was engulfed in flames. “And the came the realization: there was no running water to fight the fire”. Without water from utilities, how would you put out something like that or prevent it from spreading to your place of living? Really scary situation to be in. https://www.sfchronicle.com
