Freedom of expression is one of the Human Rights that allow us to grow and develop as individuals and as a society. By being able to express our thoughts, feelings, opinions and beliefs, we can interact with the world and at the same time contribute to its movement. Words have a lot of power, therefore, to think of being in the situation of not having such freedom, indeed, that it is against the law to express or publish what we think, even that the government controls the content that reaches us, is simply dreadful. However, this approach is a reality in many nations of the world, as well as the struggle of its inhabitants for such a ban to end.
The project "The uncensored library" emerged as a possibility for people all over the world to access censored journalistic articles through a virtual platform known as MINECRAFT. James Delaney, Managing Director BlockWorks said that “the Uncensored Library is a bold use of Minecraft and really encapsulates everything that is great about this game and the community it has created.”
This is undoubtedly a form of public rhetoric because giving everyone free access to information is a great strategy to end censorship.
