The Visual Effect of Newspapers

Most of Today's Front Pages have the same layout with coloring systems because it's what attracts the reader. Most newspapers put bright dominant colors on their papers because it attracts the eye and makes someone gravitate to look at that paper first. The biggest breaking news is always on the front center with bold letters. They also use multiple photos on the front page to show that there are multiple stories' throughout. Usually the most important topic has the largest photo, but all of them are quite intriguing. Using a color scheme is also important to the readers eye. If the colors on the paper were harsh and were unappealing to the eye, its most likely the person would not pick it up to read. The reader tends to go for the story with the most dramatic and hooking title on the front page. The newspapers all had the most important topics as the main story but they also strategically titled it in a way that made you want to read more. In modern times most people are not going to a newspaper to read the news, they are all going on the internet. Stated in The Guardian, "national newspapers are losing their ability to influence politics." So these newspaper companies have to provide the most influential stories and eye catching papers to persuade a person to buy it.
