Finding fake news is nearly impossible to not come across. Fake news is a fast-spreading virus that has infected the internet, so what is being done to prevent the spread? TikTok is a very modern and recently popular way to consume news. With news, comes fake news as well. With just one-minute videos, many get misinterpreted. The strategy TikToK has been using is to simply remove the video spreading such news. "In the latter half of 2020, TikTok clocked in at 400,000 videos removed for COVID-19 and United States election misinformation"(Hall, 2022). During the peak of the virus, there was a lot of misinformation being spread and I'm sure you can imagine the chaos and fear all across the internet.
