Using a complex question like the one above, I was able to catch your attention and lure you into this article. This is one of the key rhetoric strategies that newspapers use in order to read their article. While viewing the Front Pages of the Freedom Forum, one very important element that stood out to me and actually caught my attention was the way that different articles use attention-grabbing hooks and titles to reel the reader into reading that article. They often use big fonts with bolded words in order to stand out. Each page also used different forms of color to grab attention as well, such as red or blue. A good example of this would be on the Dothan Eagle, where they have "Dothan cheerleading crew finishes high at nationals" in big bolded words. This not only catches the viewers because of how big and bold the words are, but using specific phrases like "finishes high at nationals" helps intrigue the viewer, and entices them to read the article underneath. This strategy has proven effective and still works to this day.
