We read about fake news often... Read about algorithms, social feeds, and how detrimental it can be for our society, and loved ones. But what can we collectively do to be better? In the circumstances where media, news, and all sorts of data is the new big thing, evidently not going away anytime soon, we cannot live to please everyone at once. We all have opinions on what can change or how we can be better... but are we doing it?
Reading along "https://www.niemanlab.org/collection/predictions-2022/"(Francesco Zaffarano) says "Data can trick us into repeating the same patterns because they satisfy our current audience- Instead of helping us build a larger, or more deeply engaged one." This means to me we (as a community) need to step away from the cloudy media storm, and find and appreciate on a deeper level our elders, neighbors, and loved ones. We have so many issues in the world, take a second.. Breathe... Then say "what can I do to be better for my community? How can I listen better? How can I be more understanding with the current issues going forward? What can you take away from this?
