What is The Difference Between ABC News and CNN?

Have you ever really LOOKED at the news outlets you use to gather information on a certain topic? Maybe you have noticed one news outlets has current events, a live update page on important topics, or even videos showing the scene. These are all great examples to take in when looking at the news and even when gathering information. I have personally noticed that two of my favorite outlets recently is ABC News and CNN, but they are very different in layouts. This source of using a certain type of layout, for example including a video over the event in the article, can be used as a Rhetoric device to grab your attention. Not only the layout can be used as a Rhetoric device. There are others, for example, the color red draws the eye in, and is what CNN tends to use when showing important things on their "live update page", and even use the color red at the very top of the home page of "trending" news and "podcasts" that they use. From my understanding between observing both of these, CNN uses more videos and bright red colors as a rhetoric to grab the readers attention, and ABC News has more of a basic black and white page which makes the pictures and videos of current events have more of the page so readers will click and read on the articles.
