Visual rhetoric is used as communication devices to hook the target audience. Strong imagery such as the one featured above or say, Jesus hanging battered and torn from a cross ignite cognitive, emotional, neurological, psychological, and spiritual responses. Marketing companies know this. Advertisers spend billions a year finding out how to hijack your brain with strong visual and contextual rhetoric.


You have the mark. Marketing firms make magic and use rhetoric to trap you into branding yourself and your children for life calling you elite brand loyalist. But you really are just marked. Acts 26:18 states "to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to the light..." - the holy Bible.
