“Fake news and sophisticated disinformation campaigns are especially problematic in democratic systems,” So how do we combat it? Fake news is no new issue; fake news is as old as news itself. Which would lead many to believe that by now we would have some way to combat the issue. But as it stands now it seems to hardly be the case. There have been many attempts to combat fake news site made by bigger social media sites in the last couple years, but despite the effort are we really seeing any changes? How can we limit our exposure to fake news? Especially if we have a hard time realizing we are being lead astray. As social media evolves, so does the misinformation.
