At Lovejoy many people want masks to be worn in school, however a large portion of people want the freedom to choose as well. Many states have just reopened for in person school and have been online for a long period of time, However texas with its slowing spread has been able to keep schools open. Many people worry if you dont require masks then people will get sick and quarantined from contact tracing anyway. In florida people think that the mask debate is“useless virtue signaling anyway since most districts will no longer need mandatory mask policies in August if current trends continue, I’m hoping to be done with ours after the last day of school in May” (Kennedy 1).
