As we all know, Facebook is a popular website where people find their news. Facebook also uses algorithms in order to control what a person is viewing. There are many types of posts that show an individual fake news, things like clickbait and so forth. However, since January 18th, 2018, “Facebook will be prioritizing news from trustworthy sources, news that is informative, and news that is relevant to one’s local community.” That shows that algorithms are still in play to show you posts based off of your local community. Also, Facebook has started filtering the low quality content, so you won’t be seeing as much “fake news”. Although that may be true, there will still be ways one could quite possibly come across some not so credible news sources here and there.
