Algorithms in Twitter

bismajli1

It is widely known that many people get their information through social media platforms and apps. One app in particular, Twitter, is a very common place for users to get their news. It could possibly be said that there is too much information available to us, and we might only see what pops up first on our screens. “That’s where the current Twitter algorithm comes in, using different ranking factors to show users posts they think they’ll like.” Much like any other social media or news platform, Twitter uses algorithms to choose what type of information and news you will receive, and most of the time we wouldn’t even realize it. It is said that Twitter uses these algorithms because some users find it hard to keep up with the many tweets they get on a regular basis, however, some have found that it relates more to the individual’s interests.
