All About the Visuals

Without even realizing it, you have probably been clickbaited in one way or another. Whether it be on YouTube, news channels, and just websites in general, you have been convinced to click a link to a page just by looking at it. Sites like BuzzFeed and CNN all use some form of visual allure to coax one into reading or listening to their news. BuzzFeed News beautifies their page by adding pops of color here and using patterns to outline and separate their stories. They tend to be significantly more organized than the latter. CNN on the other hand uses large, bold titles such as "LIVE UPDATES" to draw one to the following story, as well as as by incorporating several images together to please the eye.
