On February 21, 2020 there was a horrible tragedy that took place at the Gates of Allen Station, which is located directly across from the Allen eagle football stadium. The Allen High School went into lockdown as one out of four suspects were on the loose. When talking to a student that was located at the highschool at the time of the lockdown she states "we were unable to leave the building and we watched out the window as three helicopters circled over the area trying to find the last suspect". Allen went from being the safest city in Texas to being not so safe in a very short amount of time.
