On Friday, February 21st, there was a shooting close to both Allen High School and Lowery Freshman Center, which was a scary thought. Both schools were put on lockdown for about two and a half hours. The Allen PD stated that "the shooting took place just before 1 p.m. at the Gates at Allen Station in the 500 block of East Exchange Parkway, near Allen High School". Hearing students in the hall, who were in the building at the time of the shooting, were saying how it was a petrifying thought that there was a loose shooter in our friendly town of Allen.
