For the past week, Texas has been trampled by a winter storm that have caused many issues throughout our local and state community. For starters, Texas got a lot of snow and record breaking temperatures that got as low as -2 degrees. This caused many problems such as frozen pipes, bursting pipes, frozen roads, power outages, and empty stores.
I went around the neighborhood and asked people how they were holding up on their homes. One of my neighbors responded by saying, "This is awful, I haven't had any power this week and its freezing!" Talking with my neighbors had a very emotional and empathetic rhetoric to it as I felt horrible for what these people were going through. I also could relate to them as this week was in fact horrible. It has never been so cold!
