In an article titled “Opening closed systems”, Keri Hoffman reviews how the year ahead will be important for audio and journalism- especially podcasts. She states that “Research suggests that 15 percent of podcast listeners worldwide and rising are tuning into news podcasts”. Like mentioned in the article this brings a lot of positive and negative factors for the field of journalism. Pulitzer prizes will feature a new category for audio reporting and journalists will turn to audio media. With its increase interest, it will continue to evolve and grow throughout the next year and provide a new medium for journalist to create and explore.
