While taking on many of Sanders' ideas into his own campaign, Joe Biden works to gain supporters. Interestingly enough, Sanders' does not actively endorse Joe Biden, but, according to fox news, Bernie "hope[s] to be able to work with Joe to move him in a more progressive direction." Biden's current following are primarily adults while Bernie Sanders' were often younger. In order to gain more followers, Biden will, without a doubt, have to become more progressive and appeal to a younger audience of supporters; however, a popular progressive group Democracy for America stated they "are 100% committed to doing everything [they] can to ensure that Joe Biden beats Donald Trump." The question remains: will democrats vote based on the ideas and policies of a candidate or the candidate's likelihood to defeat Donald Trump in the 2020 election?
