It is apparent that many journalists must be biased since it is a part of their job to write reports and such using their point of view, possibly resulting in difficulty to side with more than one side. However, people of color are more likely to be subjected to being unable to stay neutral. Tonya Mosley stated that “an old boss questioned out loud whether” she would be able to fairly “cover a story about the shooting of a black man by police” because of her skin color which supposedly disables her to stay neutral and that her “skin makes it impossible to see all sides.” She believes, however, that it is important to “listen to the people of color in your newsroom”. These journalists were hired for the job because they’re “smart and capable.”
