Boston Riverwalk Opens Up, Responsible or Dumb?

Among all of the businesses hit hard by the outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic, restaurants and other food service were hit the hardest. With indoor dining being practically banned across the country and outdoor dining being strictly limited, many restaurants and even whole cities are beginning to take the cautious steps to begin opening back up. Starting this Friday, the Boardwalk in Chicago will slowly start opening back up. Critics of this move will point out that Covid is still a very real issue in many communities. The mayor, Lori Lightfoot disagrees, evidentially. Mayor Lightfoot says "The Riverwalk is not only an important part of our city's economic engine, but it also adds to the liveliness of our iconic summers." The city must weigh the benefits from opening up alongside any potential ramifications.
