Brainwaves Functions

"Our brainwaves change according to what we’re doing and feeling. When slower brainwaves are dominant we can feel tired, slow, sluggish, or dreamy. The higher frequencies are dominant when we feel wired, or hyper-alert."

The brain is an electrochemical organ, and Electrical activity emanating from the brain is displayed in the form of brainwaves. There are four basic brain waves ranging from the most activity to the least activity. These are Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta. Beta waves are the characteristic of a strongly engaged-minded, as an example a person having a debate or discussion would be having Beta brainwaves. Alpha brainwaves are slower, and higher in amplitude, meditating helps a person stay in an alpha state. Theta brainwaves are of even slower frequency, a person who is tired and feels dreamy is often in a theta brainwave state. And Delta is the final wave, it has the lowest frequency. We usually enter this state when we fall asleep.
