Breaking Through Fake News

Rebekah Vandenhole

Fake news is everywhere today; it has become a regular part of our lives. At this point in time, it's important that we figure out how to identify and brush off fake news. And the only way to do that, is to understand how it's made.

The people who make fake news don't really have to work all that hard. They use easy-to-learn photo editing skills, which can be combatted with a quick reverse photo search on google. They also manipulate information; from twisting or completely leaving out information, to presenting made-up things as fact.

Being mindful, and getting information from an array of sources, can help make sure you never fall into the trap to fake news.
