Buzzfeed and Teen Vogue are progressive news outlets and today, I will be analyzing the rhetoric and layout of their news feeds.
Buzzfeed's website has the standard simple interface of the celing that all news sites utilize. They have a main featured story at the top, followed by a cooking video tutorial "Grilled-Peach Sundaes In 15 Minutes or less". Below the stream continues with a category about political news. Their website seems to continue in length with clusters of stories divided by category.
Teen Vogue's website is much more simple compared to Buzzfeed. There is a main story in the middle of the screen with smaller varied stories to the right and left. These are also varied by category with news, politics, music, and identity to name a few. It's surprising to me that Teen Vogue is not as click baitey or spontaneous as Buzzfeed considering it's targeted demographic is teenagers. Buzzfeed's website was really trashy.
