Cancel Culture, from the Urban Dictionary means, “A desire to cancel out a person or community from social media platforms.” It’s very saddening to see the youth take their freedom of speech to try and ruin someone's career. I looked into two different news sources on the topic of Cancel Culture to see how they layout their website. The “New York Times” link only included one picture. They choose to look at the culture in teenagers' lives. Like from, "... Neelam, a high school senior.." The page is numbered from 1-6 different teenagers experiencing the culture itself. When I personally think of “cancel culture,” I think of celebrities. The “Vox” link included a surplus of examples of celebs that have been canceled in the past. Surprisingly they also include a number of tweets from Twitter users, deciding to cancel someone for a mistake. I really try to avoid the culture at all cost, but it's everywhere. I just hope someday in the future, this little trend will eventually disappear.
