Heavy snow continues to rain down on top of the thick layers of ice. Temperatures range from 25 to 45 degrees below normal. This will range from Southern Plains to Eastern Ohio Valley. February was said to have record breaking temperatures as well. As of Monday, many states have already hit their record lows and will get even colder on the following Tuesday morning. Along with the low temperatures are the power outages. Oregon, Virginia, and Louisiana are just a few out of the many that are without power. After Texas was hit with the snowstorm, they were in the top three for most power outages. Peak demand for power caused ERCOT to restore it where needed. Without the needed electricity, more businesses are closing and it has become even harder to get tested for Covid-19.
