Complications with Journalists Today

Journalists have had to experience many problems that have affected their line of work. Lately, journalists have noticed a rapid increase in firings, which is a loss of a very unique and talented group of people. Newspapers are forced to fire journalists because of a lack of readers, due to the recent move to online journalism. In the article "Journalists Get Left Behind in the Industry's Decline" by Rachel Glickhouse, she states that “There are lots of efforts to bolster print and local media, but there aren’t many structures in place to support journalists struggling with job insecurity or job loss”. This means that there aren't many resources to help these struggling journalists.
