Constructing New Journalism Codes

There are plenty of ethical codes that journalists have to follow, such as always reporting the truth and being accountable. In NiemanLab's article, Our ethics codes get an overhaul, the author explains how the ethics are getting an "overhaul" since "journalists face relentless business pressures, relinquish even more control over how our content is distributed and framed, and deal with the consequences of anonymity, doxing, and transparency". In order to prevent these outcomes from happening again, we must construct new codes that apply to the present day. These codes will adjust how candid journalists can be and the accountability of journalists.
