Recent news about this virus has become known worldwide as countries squirm as it might come to theirs. People have been spreading this news through various social media apps such as Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. People talk about how they have heard of the virus coming from China, and that it spread to the US from people on a cruise ship. I think people post these fake comments and videos just to get attention and they do it by scaring the users seeing it making it seem like it's near them and that they might have it too. As some people turn it into a joke, saying "I have the Coronavirus", but "I've heard it's not a serious "Virus", it's about as bad as a flu or cold" (Rory Cellan-Jones). So it is very easy to trick people into thinking they really have it.
