In a New York Times article by Julie Bosman, titled "COVID-19 Vaccinations start for local teachers", she begins by breaking down the effects that COVID-19 has caused a year later. Now resulting in over 500,000 deaths from the virus and the first country to do so, states are looking towards the next step of reopening as safely as they can. Sacramento county began to vaccinate local teachers hoping to reopen schools and presume normal life. With vaccine appointments being limited, teachers are having a hard time finding available time slots. Many say the earliest first-round shot being available in mid-March. The governor says they will be setting 10% of vaccines aside for local teahchers starting March 1. "The important thing is that the state made (teacher-vaccinations) a priority, and we need to execute on that priority," says Gov. Gavin Newsom. [1 quote, 1 link, 1 picture, 141 words]
