Covid, chronic, crisis

bveloz1

The article on crisis by Candice Callison titled "Calling it a crisis isn’t enough (if it ever was)” gives a good point. I can also comment on her article that the journalists have a hard time getting criticism and receiving the negative feedback from every reader. They have a hard time, but also it is so easy to throw what they already been taught to write is out the window. Life changes and so does the need of a new wave of journalism for a better life. Her argument is “Calling out an event as a crisis is no longer enough (if it ever was) to describe the thick layering of chronic crises, whether ecological, social, biological, or historical — nor are the typical templates of event-centric journalism”, and she sees this a red flag in the field of journalists. Although the pandemic became chronic to many, it requires a new shift of life.
