With the recent wave of covid-19 vaccine coming out there has been a lot of speculation on the side effects caused by it. While scientists say that there could be mild side effects, people have gone to Facebook to share their "personal experiences." Two women went to their social media to show videos of them having intense convulsions and seizure-like effect due to the vaccine. WRAL news conducted an interview with the son of one of the women that even said "I wouldn't believe it either if it wasn't my mom," backing up her fake video. Although, Facebook was quick to take down these videos due to spreading false news and even the CDC responded by saying these "side effects" were not real. It is unknown why these people made these fake videos other than to spread mass paranoia.
