It is obvious across most news sites that journalists can sometimes go to extreme and invasive lengths to get their information, but do they ever get caught? The answer is yes. Recently, in fact, 2 journalists trespassed in Liberty University and were caught by police. The university is "pursuing a criminal case against [them]...who made unauthorized campus visits last month..." Their attempt to gather intel on the University's response to the current COVID-19 pandemic landed them with a misdemeanor and possible jail time for a year. Both journalists write for well known news sites so it is safe to say this has happened several times in the past.
