The Weekdn, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, has made a claim that Usher has copied The Weeknd's style in his 2012 song "Climax". He said it initially made him angry, but as he grew older he realized it is a compliment. ""It was very flattering," The Weeknd said, adding, "I knew I was doing something right." Often times I find other photographers in the DFW area who deliberately copy my photos, in the same locations with the models doing the same poses. I used to feel upset and mad but my mom reminds me the biggest form of flattery is someone copying and imitating you.
