After researching different examples of rhetorical devices and how they're used, I am going to apply my knowledge and direct two different news outlets and look at how they give out information. I will be using Snapchat and The New York Times. To start of Snapchat uses lots of Euphemism to convey news on their page. This can make the reader feel as if something is nicer than it is, for example "Domestic engineering"can be used as a euphemism for "house cleaning". Whereas The New York Times uses mostly Hypophora. They get straight to the point, there is little room for overflow of unnecessary information. I feel that if you want to get accurate fast paced information you should stick with The New York Times because they use more effective rhetorical strategies. https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/career-development/rhetorical-strategies-list [1 link, 1 image, 1 quotation, 135 words]
