Fake news and disinformation have a big affect on the population especially during election years. Many countries tried to help spread this fake news because, "Their entire purpose is to divide us and make us fight each other from within, because if they can get us to fight each other from within, they don’t have to do anything; they’re already winning" (Lee 1). One purpose of fake news is to divide us and if we always believe this fake news then we are contributing to this division issue. If we are a divided people then we are weak but if we are together then we are strong.
