Eating with your Eyes

Writer's picture: GisellePalaciosGisellePalacios

Many know that we “eat with our eyes.” However, this doesn’t just apply to food. This also applies to news. We are more likely to gravitate towards something that has an interesting thumbnail over something possibly more formal. If we didn’t like what we read, then we would equivalently say it “didn’t taste as good as it looked.”

Instagram has a huge advantage in this aspect because all you can do on Instagram is post pictures. It is a great way to lure someone into their profiles for more news. News pages on Instagram will post a picture of their trending news and people will follow that. It’s all about visuals on Instagram and users certainly take advantage of it.
