With NASA preparing to diverge from its partnership with Russia in bringing astronauts to the ISS, SpaceX has been preparing its Dragon capsule for the transport of US astronauts into the cosmos. They have been preparing for all emergency, wether it be an injury on the launch pad, an error in the launch sequence, or an emergency abort during flight. On April 7th, "Teams rehearsed locating injured personnel on the 265-foot-level of the launch tower, loading them into the pad's slidewire baskets and safely descending the tower" according to an update from NASA posted in a blog. If all goes well, SpaceX is on track to be ferrying US astronauts to the ISS by May.
