Facebook is a wonderful site for seeing all of your friends and family. However, Facebook is also notorious for being leaders in fake news and clickbait. These fake news and clickbait articles are ads that gain revenue from Facebook. An article by The Sydney Morning Herald stated that, "The financial incentives from clickbait disinformation and profiteering scams also should be stopped." Normally these fake news articles would not be in issue if it weren't for the recent Coronavirus outbreak and soaring use of the social media platform. The high traffic on Facebook has allowed these articles to gain a lot of financial gain and it needs to be stopped.
