It is no secret that social media and websites in general cant stop the overwhelming spread of fake news. There is only so much one can do to "stop" the internet being such the free place it is. In an article by BBC discussing Facebook allegations during the election to allow the spread of fake news, solutions began to come under way to help stop the spread of fake news. Facebook has added a 3rd party fact checking system to help its users differentiate between real and fake news. "You just put it on your browser and then when you come to a fake news site you get a pop up appearing saying 'warning this is a fake news site'," says Samuel Laurent, editor of Les Decodeurs.
