Facebook vs. Instagram

ldarvish1

Facebook and Instagram are very similar apps that have been growing the past few years. According to Medium writer Agrawal, “Facebook has 1.13 billion daily active users as compared to Instagram which has 500 million monthly active users”. Facebook has been around longer than Instagram. Instagram tends to attract younger audiences, but Facebook attracts older audiences. My own mother tends to refer to Facebook a lot since more people are her age group and friends. I personally never even opened a Facebook but use Instagram regularly. Maybe this is because different age groups look for a certain information out of their social media apps. Facebook offers more information about a topic or a person, while Instagram uses pictures and a smaller amount of words to describe a person or topic. Some use both and have access to more information than they would by only having access to one.
