It is clear that millions of people use Facebook and Twitter as a way to interact with the world, but there is an obvious age gap between the users of these two sites. Facebook is typically used by older people in their late 30's and older. Twitter is used by teens and young adults. Both sites bring news to their user's page or timeline. However, with Facebook there is a lot more fake news than Twitter. There is a lot of fake news on COVID-19 on Facebook that a lot of people are spreading. Twitter uses news sites such as CNN and The New York Times to spread their news. I have seen headlines pop up in my Twitter notifications such as, "US Navy relieves commander who reported COVID-19 outbreak aboard aircraft carrier" along with people who have been tweeting about it.
