This fake news article was one of the highest viewed of its kind on Facebook in 2019. Clearly the perpetrator is conservative, as they go by the name of Southern War Cry. They use Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a popular democrat, to spread the lie that she "proposes [a] nationwide motorcycle ban." It ended up getting hundreds of comments, thousands of shares, and millions of views. Southern War Cry uses an alarming title and topic to gain views and clicks, and they rally it behind a person that the right side of politics all hate. In reality, AOC never said this. This fake news article uses common conservative rhetoric to generate attention.
