The internet is full of news outlets but how can we be sure it's real news? Fake news' sole purpose is to misinform people, which then makes the reader change their view on a certain subject. There is more fake news being put into the world than most people expect. Journalists have to follow rules when it comes to news, but since the internet has provided a new way to share ideas and thoughts, it doesn't have as much if any rules it has to follow. In the article "Explained: What is Fake New?", Martina Chapman states that "there are three elements to fake news; ‘Mistrust, misinformation and manipulation’". These are the main keys that fake news sites follow in order to get their point across.
