Fake news is all around us on the web, it can be very easy for someone to become a victim of “fake news”. While you won’t always be able to avoid it there are some very distinct ways to recognize what your reading could be fake. According to Harvard the easiest ways to spot fake news is by first verifying the publisher, what is the quality of the post, check the citations and sources, and finally you should be sure to fact check their information. If you apply all of these strategies on any outlets you may be unsure of, these basic rules should help you decide whether what your reading is accurate or not.
