Determining fake news is difficult when it is truly all around us today. Places like Facebook highlight false news headlines that draw our eye without us even clicking the link. The way these headlines are setup with bold, intriguing words, draw us away from the small links that are ultimately fake websites. With new technology "there are new tools popping up that combat the fake news issue" (Zozimus 1). One technology advancement is a web extension that can be added to Google that flags/alerts a reader that a site is untrustworthy. This small tool can help many when looking for credible sources in the media. Maybe this could stop the spread of fake news, but today there is still a constant development of it.
