Many sources like Education Weekly have caught on to the extensive spread of fake news and have conducted research on ways to help stop this. The evidence shows that children have been found to struggle to distinguish which news they are reading is authentic and fictional. One of a few ways they have begun to help kids with this issue is by administering “ interventions as simple as reading a short article or watching a three-and-a-half-minute long educational video on how to be on the lookout for fake news” has dramatically increased kids abilities to pick apart which news they are reading is fake.
