“Falsehoods almost always beat out the truth on twitter” (Meyer). This statement supports the idea that fake news is more trusted than the truth on a social media term. I think this is possible because of the influence and interaction some have with social media, anything anyone says about a topic, can be taken and twisted until eventually people start believing the fake news constructed. Fake news is only given so much power because of the uneducated percent of people on social media, the ones who don't take the time to fact check, or back up someone else statement with factual evidence. Because this, fake news may forever be a part of our news.
