FEMA FRIEND OR FOE?

kedwards41

Some people are still in dire need of help from the winter storm that occurred here in Texas this month, although the state has been declared a disaster area by President Biden, the help from FEMA is drawing a slow and snail like effort to get the help needed to everyone. I think the efforts of neighbors in our communities, along with local nonprofits, churches, and businesses all pitching in to help has been more productive. “The agency’s actions have sometimes been harmful, such as when it has blocked the relief efforts of other organizations. FEMA’s dismal response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005 dramatized the agency’s bureaucratic dysfunction.”
